Why Is Fe a Dynamic Function? And why is Fe correlated with hearing, and Ti with vision?
Because Fe is primarily "geared" toward perceiving and evaluating alarm signals and multiplying, replicating them in the interests of the pack as a whole. An alarm signal is not evaluated by Fe in a single moment but rather in its temporal unfoldingâthat is, the temporal gradient is assessed. Are the cries approaching or receding, intensifying or fading? Many have probably seen various videos showing how panic develops in a group of monkeys. At first, upon hearing a distressing sound, the monkey freezes, becomes alert, and at first hesitantly and tentatively makes a single vocalization. If the distress cries around it grow stronger rather than weaker, only then does our monkey join the anxious chorus, beginning to shriek continuously and run around restlessly in place (even if it does not yet understand what to do or where to run, its muscles are warming up and preparing for mobilization). One-time reactions of fear or surprise fall more under Ne rather than black ethics. Fe, on the other hand, assesses the temporal unfolding of the process, reacts to it, and determines the actual level of danger based on its temporal dynamics. Thus, Fe is closely linked to the auditory channel, because it is through this channel that alarm notifications for the group are transmitted. The level of danger is assessed not by static signals but by the dynamics of these signals. Moreover, Fe is connected (and should be connected, from an evolutionary perspective) with group imitation, emotional resonance, and the amplification of others' distress signals.
Fe is also strongly associated with the defensive reflexâhence, by the way, its empirically revealed strong correlation with the individual magnitude of pilomotor reactions (i.e., the raising of hairs on the skin, fluffing up fur to appear larger, more imposing, and more intimidating in the face of an aggressor). "Hair standing on end" is not just a figure of speech; it really happens in many program black ethicists.
In contrast, Ti is correlated with the visual analyzer. Nature does not like to reinvent the wheel; it builds on previous developments. Vision is primarily about determining the structure of the surrounding space, analyzing what remains unchanged (independent of the viewing angle), the invariant relationships between its parts and elements, and, within this invariant structure, identifying significant novelties that do not fit into the invariant structure.
Ti employs the same or a similar mechanism. Moreover, both in visual functions and in white structural logic, serotonergic neural mechanisms play an equally active role. Try disrupting the function of serotonin detectors in neurons responsible for maintaining the invariance of visual perception with all its constancy mechanisms (as happens, for example, during lysergic intoxication), and the subject's white-logical analysis and visual ability to perceive the correct spatial structure will both suffer. Objects in visual perspective will shrink to a terrifying degree, angles will become distorted, and the entire spatial structure will appear to warpâbecause the mechanisms that ensure the constancy of shape and size perception, making objects appear stable regardless of viewing angle, will stop functioning due to a "malfunction" in serotonin receptors.
Conversely, the dynamics of processes are tracked primarily through dopamine mechanisms. Time-unfolded feelings of anticipation or, conversely, the drive to avoid something are all mediated by dopamine receptors in the brain's basal ganglia. We know that Fe loves to "chatter and shriek". But so does dopamine. Do you know what the first and primary reaction is when a test subject is given a dopamine solution in the nose? (With intranasal administration, it partially penetrates the brain through the blood-brain barrier.) Uncontrollable talkativeness!
DID YOU KNOW THAT:
1) Dynamics are more prone to schizophrenia than statics.
2) A number of substances that cause dynamic visual pseudohallucinations ("cartoons" while awake) simultaneously and very significantly, in almost all functions at once, shift the balance of the psyche from static to dynamic. For example, these include mescaline, psilocybin, and lysergic acid diethylamide.
All these organic substances belong to different chemical groups, but they are united by their powerful temporary destructive effect on the serotonergic regulation of brain neurons.
In addition to dynamic color "cartoons" (particularly characteristic of diethylamide and mescaline), they all have a similar effect on the traditional manifestations of the 8 psychic functions.
Fe sharply intensifies (any stimulus, auditory or visual, begins to seem important, vivid, and of super-value, and melodies take on a special orgasmic strength â especially under psilocybin).
Fi sharply weakens (especially under the influence of diethylamide â people become strange, incomprehensible, and unpredictable, as if turning into bizarre masks).
Te changes little, not intensifying, but also noticeably not weakening â in any case, the ability for sequential logical reasoning does not suffer.
Ti, however, noticeably decreases, and this is primarily reflected in the decreased systemic criticality of thinking. The system of knowledge seems to fall apart into fragments. Where inconsistencies and contradictions were previously easily recognized, under the influence of antiserotonergic dysleptics, contradictions stop being noticed. One begins to rave about one's own ideas, which later, with a sober mind, are perceived as genuinely delusional and graphomaniac. At the same time, the structural consistency of visual perception also suffers, which normally ensures the consistent invariance of visual perception of the surrounding world, regardless of the visual angle we view it from. Walls begin to move and "breathe", chairs twitch their legs as if trying to run away (a consequence of saccadic tremor movements of the eyes, which are no longer corrected at the system superstructure level of the visual system), and one's own legs below seem astonishingly small (which they also are, in literal visual perception, and we would always see them as comically small if not for the size constancy correction mechanism that normally allows us to perceive objects as nearly unchanging regardless of their distance from us). Thus, due to the weakening of Ti, all invariant properties of the surrounding world (both of people and objects) fall apart, and purely subjective perception, carried out without correction for perspective, takes over.
Ne also weakens (for example, thoughts about the future, even about the next day, become physically impossible â especially under the influence of diethylamide).
Ni, on the contrary, intensifies (the mind unfolds into a continuous stream of colorful, dynamic, dreamlike fantasies).
Se weakens (aggression decreases, posturing loses all, even theoretical, appeal, movements become awkward, coordination suffers).
Si, on the contrary, intensifies significantly (skin sensitivity increases, the subjectâs attention begins to be drawn to quasi-orgasmic sensations, such as pleasant "stretching" feelings in various parts of the skin and body). There is a growing desire for stillness, calm, and relaxed contemplation.
3) Acetylcholine (for example, through the use of substances that inhibit its natural breakdown in the body) contributes, conversely, to statics. Under the influence of substances stimulating acetylcholine activity, Se increases (aggression rises, coordination improves, body agility increases, decisiveness in actions grows). Fi also significantly increases â people around start to seem especially "transparent" in their understandability. But empathy (emotional resonance), on the contrary, does not increase, but significantly weakens. Egoism increases, along with a particular sense of "self-sufficiency", accompanied by the perception of everyone else as somehow "minor" and insignificant.
Thus, both serotonin (in the context of its normal function) and acetylcholine contribute to the static pole of the psyche.
