Black Declatimity (De)
De – this includes ESE, LIE, SEI, and ILI.
De - a fairly high level of satisfaction with everything received from the environment, i.e. weak Qe. Accordingly, acute reactions of frustration are practically uncharacteristic (unlike Qe).
Hyperthymia and very high contactability (but only for LIE and ESE). They feel at ease and confident in interactions without worrying about consequences (and this partly already applies to the introverted negativists SEI and ILI, who also have above-average De).
Low selectivity of contacts – a typical De-type easily accepts all kinds of people without making communication dependent on their individual flaws or virtues (which can also be seen as indiscriminateness in relationships).
Strives for a variety of contacts. Communicator, unifier of people in a group (especially in the case of extroverts LIE and ESE, though introverts SEI and ILI are also talented mediators in relationships). Predisposed to teamwork. Interferes in others' affairs and does not react too painfully if others interfere in theirs. Open to others in their activities, easily invites participation in their endeavors. Not prone to fixation – De-types are emotionally forgiving and easily switch tasks.
An important marker of De is that in communication and professional interactions this function easily overcomes racial, national, and cultural barriers.
The ability of De to “accept” different people without hostility, while also not “pressuring” them or trying to change them, flexibly adapting to their personalities and, most importantly, not fixating on their flaws, reveals the duality of this function in relation to introverted Qi – which, as noted, is focused on uniqueness, individuality, and individualism.
As for ESE and LIE, they fully correspond to this De profile. SEI is also close to it (it’s no coincidence they are called the most sociable and compromising negativist). The only apparent contradiction arises with the character of the “classic ILI”. Wouldn't an ILI, with their stereotypically grumpy and reserved nature, contradict this highly sociable profile?
However, if we take a closer look at the behavior of the ILI (especially in social networks, where differences in extroversion/introversion are less pronounced), we will notice the following:
- In video games, ILIs enjoy quests requiring dialogue with other characters to complete them.
- ILIs, like other De-types, easily switch to a familiar tone in social networks—perhaps even more so than other De-types.
- Their contacts in social networks are indiscriminate, and the manner of communication practically does not depend on the character and views of communication partners.
- Like other De-types, ILIs easily switch and are not inclined to "get stuck" on anything.
Especially brightly manifested in ILIs is indiscriminateness in social contacts - this is due to both their relatively strong De and their painfully weak Qe.
Of course, the hyperthymic communication style, with its excess of positivistic optimism and friendliness, is characteristic only of De-base types (LIE and ESE). Introverted negativists SEI and ILI - especially the latter, given their logic and constructivism - do not exhibit intrusive friendliness. However, they share the De trait of indiscriminate contacts and, on social networks, also display increased sociability. They tend to have an undifferentiated communication style. So, trying to “befriend” an ILI online in hopes that they’ll stop being snarky and start defending you is futile. Their behavior is almost entirely independent of how much positive reinforcement they receive from you. An ILI will stop being sarcastic towards you only when they shift focus to someone else or when they simply get bored of it. To an ILI, good and bad, familiar and unfamiliar people are almost the same - this is one of the quirks of strong De and weak Qe. That’s why trying to flatter or pacify an ILI is a waste of time.
Another trait common to all De-types is the noticeable superficiality of all relationships, their evenness, without any expressed sympathies and preferences.
