The values of the SLE and IEI dyad most clearly express a rejection of everything related to the socionic function Fi, against the backdrop of an overall surplus of egoistic Se and Ni.

Aside from the SLE (71% agreement) and IEI (66%) themselves, these irrational Beta values are also shared by SEE (61%) and ILE (58%). Least understanding and sympathetic are EII (26% agreement), as well as SEI, LII, ESI, LSE, and SLI (33–37%).

You could say that the values of this dyad revolve around a fundamentally adolescent-like rebellion against societal rules, aimed at proving one's own "coolness" and right to a better place under the sun. At the core is a principled disregard for the consequences of one’s actions for others - and thus, a neglect of concern for anyone’s future, including their own. As if to say: let it all burn (and we’ll throw on more wood and light the match), and let the strongest survive.

Most in common is found between the irrational Beta dyad and the irrational Gamma dyad - both love risk, adopt a “whatever it takes to win” stance, and often take sadomasochistic delight in others’ fear and the suffering of defeated opponents. The difference lies in the Beta’s sincere admiration for systems that fight opponents through collective force and romanticize military heroism, while Gamma types strongly reject glorifying war and self-sacrifice.

With Beta’s second, rational dyad (LSI + EIE), SLE and IEI share a glorification of violence and overall approval of situations where the strongest and most titled individuals have the right to manage all societal resources, concentrating them in one place and unleashing them at will on internal and external enemies - entirely (and legally) ignoring the opinion of the “plebeian” majority. The difference between Beta irrational and rational types lies in their attitude toward unpredictability - SLE and IEI welcome shocking, disruptive events as a chance to shine, while LSI and EIE prefer a controlled social environment where they pull the strings from behind the scenes.

With the LIE + ESI dyad, Beta irrational types align in their readiness to endure pain and hardship in the present for a huge win or long-awaited revenge later. Their differences lie in internal organization and their stance on violence, especially impulsive and destructive types - Beta irrational types understand and accept this; Gamma rationals reject it completely and prefer to act within legal bounds with all reactions planned in advance.

What SLE and IEI share with the ILE + SEI dyad is a “savage”, impulsive nature, fond of sudden actions and snap judgments, often dismissing cultural norms as dull rules that sap life of its vividness. The difference lies in their attitude toward power - while irrational Betas desire it (not even for anything specific, but just to scare and domineer out of caprice), Alpha irrationals are largely indifferent to it.

With the IEE + SLI pair, there is overlap in the shared aversion to any painstaking intellectual work, even for self-improvement or building a career. The difference is that Beta types enjoy the radical, scandalous, and sometimes cruel and frightening, while Delta types try to avoid all of that, not to disturb their peace of mind with unnecessary knowledge (which, as we know, brings many sorrows).

SLE and IEI have the least in common with the Delta conflict dyad - LSE and EII. Nonetheless, a few weak tendencies overlap: first, both conflict dyads reject the idea of making all information publicly accessible; second, they are both willing to use fear as a tool for managing society. However, while the method is the same, the goals are opposite: in Delta, silence and fear are used to shield people from destructive activity; in Beta, silence and fear are the very tools to rock the social boat and push people into reckless, panicked behavior.

Perhaps the quintessence of the opposition between these two dyads lies in their attitude toward destructive, impulsive aggression - toward the bloody madness of psychopaths in times of social chaos. These topics fascinate irrational Betas just as much as they repel and paralyze rational Deltas.
