ILE+ESI

JOINTLY ACKNOWLEDGED TRAITS:

  1. Unlike many, I absolutely cannot make insincere compliments (it goes against my very nature).
  2. I am deeply affected by many events happening in the world and in my country.
  3. Human rights to life and freedom are more important than any state or national interests.
  4. I enjoy participating in lotteries, buying sport-lotto tickets, etc.
  5. I am strongly concerned about the fate of my country.
  6. In moments of agitation, I often feel my heartbeat accelerate.
  7. I am hurt by any injustice around me.
  8. It is always more pleasant to create something myself than to manage from above.
  9. At times I experience financial worries and problems.
  10. I am irritated by any manifestations of inequality among people.
  11. It’s true that I absolutely cannot tolerate or forgive crude coercion.
  12. Concealing important events from the public is always extremely wrong.
  13. Human rights and social equality are certainly more important than imperial power.
  14. I sometimes experience strong religious or spiritual feelings, as if sensing the presence of God or some absolute blissful truth “here and now.”
  15. Children should be taught from kindergarten to respect the sanctity of others’ rights and others’ lives.
  16. I have often, completely alone, voiced something of my own that contradicted the opinion of the majority.
  17. Any truth is always better than absolutely any lie.
  18. I know how to gladly accept all that life gives.
  19. I react very painfully and sensitively to any injustice, whether done to me or to others.
  20. Things often drive me to anger.

JOINTLY REJECTED TRAITS:
21. I think that most pacifists and “peacemakers” are simply cowards.
22. I don’t need the truth if it interferes with my ability to live.
23. In my view and taste, modern society has too much equality.
24. I find it rather easy to pretend in matters of feeling, portraying agreement with my interlocutor.
25. It is harmful and senseless to give the masses excessive education beyond what their profession directly requires.
26. A smart person is smart precisely because he must deceive the foolish.
27. I never allow anyone to deprive me of money that was even slightly promised to me.
28. I can simulate (“pretend”) a state of satisfaction and well-being for years, without saying a word to friends about my problems.
29. One should support whoever is stronger, not whoever is offended.
30. My heart always beats slowly and calmly, no more than 60–70 beats per minute, and does not tend to accelerate from worry.
31. I would make a good diplomat.
32. Sometimes I dream of state awards.
33. I would prefer to occupy leadership positions in a large established system rather than in my own business.
34. Social peace is more important than truth.
35. People should receive strictly measured information depending on their role and position in society.
36. A person who is destined by birth to serve superiors must submit to fate.

It turns out that the pair ILE and ESI actually has quite a bit in common. This is due to their shared democratic values, their shared Qi function, and their convergence along the pole of judiciousness. (ILE, though an Alpha type, is irrational and logical, and therefore less “judicious” in values than his quadra-mates; whereas ESI, although formally a “decisive” type, is a white ethical introverted rational, which reduces aggressiveness and egoism, giving an extra drift toward judicious traits - because these correlate partially with introversion, ethics, and rationality.)

So:

All this is wonderful and could create a solid foundation for shared life - if husband and wife spent most of their time discussing high politics. But since they don’t, the sharp, rude actions of ILE (committed selflessly, and not to dominate others, but in pursuit of some higher momentary truth as he sees it) will still grate on ESI; and ESI’s moralizing and silent grimaces of contempt will, in turn, infuriate ILE, who instead requires “stroking” and reassurance.
