Qe, ‘black’ questimity (isolation of superiority)
Keywords: irritability, disgust, elitism, aristocracy, nobility, prestige, superiority, privileges, diplomas, licenses, titles, coats of arms, dynasties, rarity, chosenness (in the sense of "by higher powers", not by the people)
Definitions:
Qe (in general): the desire for a privileged position in society in order to improve the current standard of living and chances of survival in difficult times for society
Base Qe: active struggle/pursuit (of) for a better place in society that provides security and access to quality resources
Creative Qe: avoidance of new tasks and contacts with people that threaten the loss of one's privileged position
Typical characteristic components of Qe:
Qe + Questimity = increased irritability - perceives any activity not coordinated with them as an attack on their authority, comfort and interests
Qe + Aristocracy = likes to command, order, demand, and treat people as subordinates, from a top-down perspective
Qe + Extroversion = fast onset of frustration reaction - excitability, irascibility
Qe + Rationality = establishes a protective distance from people, does not tolerate disrespect
Qe + Dynamics = sensory sensitivity - "princess and the pea"
Atypical characteristic components of Qe:
Qe + Declatimity = opponent of individualism and granting various freedoms to lower-status members of society
Qe + Democracy = unwilling to sacrifice their interests to achieve collective goals
Qe + Introversion = avoids contact with strangers - does not want to be drawn into overly familiar communication that would destroy their aristocratic status; for the same reasons, tends to be bureaucratic when in charge
Qe + Irrationality = indulges in their immediate desires
Qe + Statics = ready to fight enemies and violators
Typical manifestations of the combination of Qe with other functions:
Sum of functions:
Qe + Ne = rapid pace of speech, desire to speak out as much as possible - so that everyone knows and considers their opinion
Qe + Se = lust for power, desire to be part of the elite and have access to the best resources of society
Qe + Ni = pickiness, envy, irritation at others' positivity, others' success
Qe + Si = avoids outside interference in their life and body (e.g., surgeries, tattoos)
Qe + Ti = uses bureaucratic or professional structures and their specific jargon to maintain distance from commoners / laymen
Qe + Fi = easily offended by violations of etiquette
Qe + Te = unwilling to listen to others' complaints, reluctant to waste time sympathizing with anyone
Qe + Fe = prone to demonstrative consumption (wants to show their prestige by incorporating elements of luxury into their life that are associated with belonging to the "upper class")
Qe + Qi = disgust, reluctance to interact with anything that seems potentially unsafe for their health and mental equilibrium
Qe + Di = supports social inequality and stratification in access to goods and information, willing to uphold such inequality from a "top-down" position (as a representative of the upper class, protecting their privileges)
Difference in functions:
Qe - Ne = ignores the requests and interests of strangers and low-ranking members of the group
Qe - Se = instinct of self-preservation, cowardice, runs from danger
Qe - Ni = considers much in the world unacceptable and indignantly opposes it
Qe - Si = maximalism: "if you love - love a queen; if you lose - lose a million"
Qe - Ti = does not know how to wait patiently in line or queue, fidgets and rushes forward
Qe - Fi = quick-tempered, irritable, easily escalates to shouting
Qe - Te = prone to impulsive actions, splurges to make an impression ("a million scarlet roses")
Qe - Fe = out of distrust of people, prefers to manage others remotely
Qe - Qi = Frequently compares themselves to others, trying to be no worse than other members of the reference group
Qe - Di = Quickly irritated at any frustration of needs
Qe - De = Demands a privileged position relative to others
Conclusions.
The core of the Qe function is the individual’s drive for personal survival – when personal physiological well-being and genetic reproduction are placed above any principles or group values and goals.
The substantive part of Qe, its main objective, is to gain and maintain advantages over other group members in access to necessary resources for life.
Since any advantage inevitably becomes the object of attention of others wishing to obtain it, Qe more often generates competition than manages to avoid it, and thus is somewhat more frequently associated with "central" traits, and in this combination acquires distinctly egocentric features.
A “central” subject with strong Qe uses society as a resource donor, a breeding ground on which their personal ego should grow and flourish. At the same time, it cannot be said that this is 100% parasitism; rather, it is a stratification of the social organism, in which, like in a biological organism, there are more and less valuable cells, tissues, and organs, and Qe is the function that strives to become part of the most valuable part of the social organism (for which all its other parts work, and without which the organism loses its integral functionality).
If Qe manages to avoid the competitive component and connect with "prudence", then it transforms into a function of self-preservation through distancing from conflicts and eliminating any potential sources of crisis threatening the well-being and stability of its personal domain.
Extroverted (base) Qe, in its desire for a better life, makes its way to the top, to those social strata that hold the most desirable parts of society’s "pie". However, this does not lead to the stimulation of the development of social elevators in society - since, having achieved recognition as a member of a privileged group, the subject with strong Qe immediately becomes concerned with preserving the achieved status - and for this purpose begins to "wall up" the path to the top for those newly arriving from below, introducing increasingly strict types of initiation and increasing the cost of licensing for obtaining the privileges it already has.
Creative Qe is also concerned with preserving the privileges it already has (real or even imaginary, such as its internal aristocratic self-perception), but being an introverted function, it especially avoids any activity that could potentially threaten the loss of its privileged status. Thus, creative Qe is more standoffish than others - for a random individual may easily be "not kosher", so that any association with them automatically becomes a "disgrace", threatening exposure - and is also a red-tapist - for ill-considered and uncoordinated initiatives may contradict the interests of the upper strata of society, and they can easily make an overly proactive subordinate "the scapegoat" for the slightest failure.
Thus, the active role of Qe is to strengthen individual selection in the population, and its passive role is an association with qualities that provide personal advantage under the conditions of individual selection.
In most cases, obtaining advantages automatically means the formation of a hierarchy, and here Qe is the function responsible for social stratification, the formation of a social "elite" from a multitude of gang leaders, careerists, demagogues and pop stars, who manage the collective "commonwealth" and lead a luxurious lifestyle ("the flowers on the tree of society").
Summarizing all of the above, Qe from a biosocial point of view can be defined as a complex of individual properties evolutionarily interconnected with STRONG INDIVIDUAL SELECTION in the population.
